How To Use & Patch Test

Patch test first — every time

Before your first full application, and any time you use it on a new area of skin:

  1. Apply a small amount to a coin-sized patch of skin, ideally on your inner forearm.
  2. Leave it for 5 minutes, then remove with the scraper and rinse with cool water.
  3. Wait 24 hours. If you see redness, itching, burning, or any reaction, do not use the product.

Full application

  1. Start with clean, dry skin. Don't apply to freshly shaved, broken, sunburned, or irritated skin.
  2. Apply an even layer thick enough to cover the hair completely. Don't rub it in.
  3. Leave on for 5 to 8 minutes. Do not exceed 10 minutes.
  4. Test a small area with the scraper. If the hair comes away easily, remove the rest. If not, wait another minute and check again.
  5. Rinse thoroughly with cool water. Don't use soap for the first few hours.

Where not to use it

Do not use on or near the eyes, inside the nose or ears, on the scalp, on genitals, or on the chest or nipples. Do not use on moles, scars, or damaged skin.

If you get a reaction

Rinse immediately with cool water. If irritation continues, blisters form, or the skin breaks, stop using the product and contact a doctor. Serious reactions are uncommon but they do happen, and they're worth taking seriously rather than waiting out.
